She is survived by: her children, Candace Abernathy (Danny) and David Helms; her grandchildren, Devin Poindexter (Melissa), Joshua Poindexter and Jamey Abernathy; and her great grandchildren, Madysun Poindexter, Brooklyn Thompson and Dylan Abernathy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Cancer Hospital.
