He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Mydgette Carter and Elizabeth Bray Carter. He is survived by: his siblings, Suzanne Carter of Coinjock, NC and Walton H. Carter (Trudy) of Coinjock, NC; and his nephews, Ben and Clay Carter.

Memorial donations may be made to Coinjock Ruritan Club.
