She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Stephenson Coggins and Charles Lee "Buck" Coggins; her husband Timothy Elder "T. E." Ward, Jr.; and her brother Charles Stephenson Coggins (Jacque Coggins). She is survived by: her children, Tim Ward (Laura) of Greensboro, NC and Karen Ward Garriss (Craig) of Kitty Hawk, NC.; her grandchildren, Charles Ward (Dani) of Raleigh, NC, Caroline Ward Manning (Hamp) of Augusta, GA and Samantha Garriss Brown (Nick) of Manteo, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Anna Kate Ward, Etta Ward, Mary Hunter Manning, Carter Manning, Hampton Manning, Addison Brown and Tucker Brown.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ahoskie Cemetery (1500 1st St E, Ahoskie, NC 27910).
