He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Allen "Bud" Grindstaff and Phyllis Schavrien Grindstaff. He is survived by: his wife Beth Grindstaff; his children, Kelly Lynne Sheffield (Sheldon), Robyn Grindstaff, Kevin Grindstaff, Sean Melton (Mandie), Trip Serra and Frankie Serra; his brother Jim Grindstaff (Barbara); his parents-in-law, Kate and Eddie Lape; his siblings-in-law, Tara Duffy-Adams (Al) and Aaron Lape; his grandchildren, Denver, Sean, Trevor, Jude, Allan, Stanley, Friedrick, Ari, Naomi, Eli and Lilah; his nieces, Amber, Kara Grindstaff and Roni Duffy; and his nephew Max Duffy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests planting a fruit tree or donating in his name to a charity of one's choice.
