He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Louise; his parents, James Cribb and Cindia Cribb; and his sister Nona Rea Cribb. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Meares of Leland, Deborah Basinger (Rick) of Currie, Bobby Grice of Atlanta, Diane Stahl of Kinston and Mike Henning Sr. (Judy) of Lake Waccamaw; and his siblings, James Ervin Cribb (Sandy) of Milwaukee, Sennie Louise Cribb of Milwaukee, Laura Eloise Lanier of Hope Mills, NC, Edna Mae Scheibengraber (Frank) of Apple Valley and Eva Congleton (Alex) of Wilmington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
