With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Gillis (Cumberland, North Carolina), who passed away on November 12, 2019 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Lennon Miller Sr. and Elizabeth Atkinson Miller. She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Gillis Miller (Douglas) of Hoke County, John D. Gillis II (Rena) of Cumberland County, Elizabeth Gillis Willis (David) of Hoke County and David Miller Gillis (Sue) of Cumberland County; her grandsons, William John Gillis (Hannah) and Andrew David Gillis (Marieke); her great grandchildren, Anna Gillis, Margaret Gillis, Katherine Gillis, Rebecca Gillis, Lillian Gillis, Jacob Gillis and Gideon Gillis; and her brother Alton Lennon Miller Jr. of Sumpter, SC..
