He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Richard and Dorothy Huffman Pollard. He is survived by: his wife Vada Gearleen Brown Pollard; and his children, Duane Pollard (Donna) of Crumpler, John Pollard of Wilmington and Vada Long (Jerry) of Greensboro. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
