It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stella Mae Blackburn of Crumpler, North Carolina, who passed away on February 5, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Estel Hurley and Betty Shoemake Hurley; and her husband Ivan Spencer Blackburn. She is survived by: her children, Gerald Blackburn of Warrensville and Carlene Hiatt (Freddie) of Mount Airy. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
