She was predeceased by: her husbands, Worth Phipps and Robert Brinegar; her siblings, Glee Owen, Artie Owen, Reeves Owen, Pozy Owen, Erie Owen, Ethel Stuart, Eula Hamby and Paralee Baldwin; her daughter-in-law Nancy Phipps; and her son Val Phipps.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Phipps (Janet) of Crumpler, Shannon Phipps of Crumpler, Heath Phipps (Jill) of Crumpler and Lori Lee Wood (Corey) of Purlear; her daughter-in-law Ellen Phipps of West Jefferson; and her sisters, Kada McNeill of Jefferson, Floye Smith of Florida and Jean Testerman of Crumpler. She is also survived by niece and caregiver, Oretta Blevins of Lansing, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
