She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Sheridan Preece and Mabel Catherine Absher Preece; her son Jerome Grant McMillan; and her siblings, Gail Dewayne Preece Sr., Wilburn Sheridan "Jay" Preece Jr., Molly Preece Roy, Nelmia Louise Hurley and Ruby Elizabeth "Liz" Preece Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Angelia McMillan of Crumpler and Vince McMillan (Shirley) of Maryland; her siblings, Bill Preece of Hickory and Lois Cockerham of Fleetwood; and her grandchildren, Jeremy D. Stiff, Shannon M. Stiff (Jessica), Kevin D. Stiff, Natasha Carrere, Robert M. Blackburn and Ezekiel C. McMillan. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Reed-McMillan Cemetery.
