He was predeceased by: his parents, William Griffitts and Lenna Mae Colvard Griffitts; his wife Lodena S. Griffitts; and his sisters, Irma Little and Sue Bledsoe.
He is survived by: his children, Craig Griffitts (Shelia) of Thomasville and Emily McGlamery (Jamie) of Lexington; his sisters, Ruth Walker (Joe) of Crumpler, Helen Goodman of Crumpler and Peggy Griffitts of Morganton; his grandchildren, Tori Griffitts, Matt Griffitts, Anna McGlamery and Will McGlamery; and his brothers-in-law, Eddie Little of Jefferson and Roger Bledsoe of Piney Creek. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
