She was predeceased by: her parents, Bunk Roten and Johnsie Roten; her husband Paul Brantley Bare; and her sisters, Irene Eldreth, Peggy Woodie and Delphia Flippen.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Grogan of West Jefferson, Darrell Bare of Charleston, SC and Paula Carlton Sheridan of Crumpler; her grandchildren, Evan, Emily, Richard, Sheri, Jacob, Jarod and Jordan; her daughters-in-law, Dawn and Katie; her friends, Vance and Becky Perry; and her siblings, Danny Roten (Ann) of Laurel Springs, Sammy Roten (Verla) of Ennice, Billy Roten of Ennice, Timmy Roten (Kathy) of Jefferson, Stevie Roten (Nancy) of Sparta, Joey Woodie (Jack) of Roanoke, VA, Bobbie Bare (Phil) of Ennice and Martha Bottomly of Ennice. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
