He was predeceased by: his father Oscar Lorenzo; his wife Kathryn Eliza Beam Sappenfield; his sisters, Edith Hickey and Catherine McArthur; and his nieces, Julee Wolfe and Susan Rhodes.

He is survived by: his nieces, Jodi Adams, Carol McMahan (Danny), Lisa Hovis (Roger), Laura Lowery and Cathy Rhodes Katz (Mark); and his nephew Robert Rhodes (Shaye). He is also survived by 14 great nieces and nephews; and 23 great great nieces and nephews.
