John Calhoun Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Calhoun (Crossnore, North Carolina), who passed away on March 29, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Calhoun and Bessie Garland Calhoun; his wife Margie Johnson Calhoun; his son John Calhoun; and his siblings, Florence Dover, Tom, Jess Richard and Toney Calhoun.
He is survived by: his children, Susie Smith of Crossnore, NC, Donna Suazo (Juan) of Virginia and Jim Calhoun (Donna) of Oneonta, NY; and his siblings, Marie Autrey of Burnsville, NC and Zack "Sonny" Calhoun of Hickory, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Baptist Church of Crossnore or to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge.
