He was predeceased by: his parents, Uriah Rice Pate and Bessie Street Pate; his son Timothy Scott Pate; his half-brothers, Virgil Pate and Clifton Pate; his sister Frances Miller; and his half-sisters, Lena Phillips and Edith Killian.
He is survived by: his wife Geneva Black Pate; his daughter Stephanie Pate Greer (Allan); his grandchildren, Uriah Coty Pate, Elijah Adam Pate, Zackary Allan Greer, Reagan "Bob" Greer and Sumer Lee Pate; and his daughter-in-law Rachel Inman.
A reception was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Crossnore First Baptist Church (220 Crossnore Dr, Newland, NC 28616).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Medi Home Hospice or the Shriners Children's Hospital.
