He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Alonzo Jones and Mabel Cahoon Jones; and his siblings, Nellie J. Gray, Dimple J. Taylor, Eunice J. Brickhouse, Doris Brickhouse, Priscilla J. Mayo, Wilma Floyd, Phillip Jones and Arnold Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Smith Jones of Creswell, N. C.; his children, Tammy M. Jones of Louisburg, N. C., Debbie D. Barnes of Creswell, N. C., Cindy D. Powell (William) of Greenville, N. C., Danny A. Jones of Columbia, N. C. and Terry E. Davenport of Creswell, N. C.; his siblings, Lucy J. Bateman of Columbia, N. C., Judy Cahoon of Fairfield, N. C. and Lawrence Jones of Columbia, N. C.; his grandchildren, Chris L. Davenport (Amber), Heather B. Davenport (Greg), Casey B. Spear (Nelson), Tara Jon Edwards (Brian), Chase M. Davenport (Brittany), Ethan L. Powell and Whitlee J. Powell; and his great grandchildren, Levi, Jenna, Sydney, Ellie, Trent, Sky, Brian and Mason.
