She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Lane and Alma Belch Bundy; and her sister Fannie Lane. She is survived by: her children, Terrie J. Sykes (Scott) of Creswell, NC, Lori Collins of Moore, OK, Deborah Strickler of Timberville, VA, John T. Jernigan, Jr. (Vickie) of Elizabeth City, NC, Robert Thompson of Columbia, NC and Curtis Thompson of Locust Grove, VA; her fiancé Floyd R. Thompson of Creswell, NC; and her siblings, Dixie Armstrong of Columbia, NC, Charleen Hassell of Roper, NC, Troy Sutton of Creswell, NC and Charlile Bundy, Jr. of Creswell, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
