He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Halsey and Mildred Halsey; and his siblings, Johnny Jr., Leon, Zealand, Lydieth Albertson, Juanita Stillman, Dot Krank, Mary Jean Williams, Frances Harris and Patricia Ambrose.
He is survived by: his wife Tounya Miller Halsey; his sons, Joshua (Aimee) and Aaron (Mel); his grandson Jacob; his sisters, Ann Kent, Shelia Scott and Cynthia Vann (Joe); and his close friends, Dolly and Smokey.
