She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Arthur Dickens, Sr. and Charlotte Edwards Johnson; and her brother Samuel Arthur Dickens, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband James Harold "Hal" Davenport, Sr. of Creswell, N. C.; her children, Linda T. Rawls (Derrick) of Edenton, N. C., Janice T. Stanley (Earnell) of Edenton, N. C., James Harold Davenport, Jr. (Lewellyn) of Washington, N. C. and Jerry Wayne Johnson of Creswell, N. C.; her siblings, Barbara Delagarza (Nicholas) of Chesapeake, VA., Carolyn Winstead (Charles) of Roanoke Rapids, N. C., Donna Corville (David) of Norco, LA., Robin Sangster (Robert) of Nolanville, TX. and Forest Alan Dickens of Chesapeake, VA.; her grandchildren, Dylan Davenport, Samantha Joyner, Brittney Davenport, Eli Davenport, Madison Cherry, Jerry Wayne Midgett, Alexzandrea Stanley, Lee Person, Justice Slade (Coley) and Jennifer Hobbs; and her great grandchildren, Chanler, Wavion, Zamari, Elijah, Ezekial, Gabriella, Josiah, Dashawn, James Jr. and Melady.
