He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Garland Herman Forbes and June Holton Forbes; his wife Paula Swain Forbes of Creswell, NC; his children, Faith Summerlin (Andrew) of Williamston, NC, Mindy Styons of Plymouth, NC, Pamela Cox (Phillip) of Roper, NC, Christopher Forbes (Celine) of Raleigh, NC and Michael Styons (Johnna) of Williamston, NC; and his brother Mike Forbes (Lisa) of Robersonville, NC.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Philippi Church of Christ (74 Old Cherry Rd, Creswell, NC 27928).
