She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Stevenson and Mary Viola Staley Stevenson; her son-in-law Frank Bright; and her brothers, Henry and Phillip Stevenson.

She is survived by: her husband Ernest Irdell Ambrose; her children, Nina Bright of Creswell, Barbara Miller (Randy) of Ahoskie and Ernest "Buck" Ambrose (Doreen) of Edenton; and her brother Billy Stevenson of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice, 920 Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
