He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lewis and Minnie Allen Lewis; and his siblings, DeWitt Lewis, Jack Lewis, Paul Lewis, Bob Lewis and Violet Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Snyder Lewis; and his sons, Randy Lewis (Alfreda) of Crumpler and Terry Lewis (Kaylene) of Bakersville. He is also survived by two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
