He was predeceased by: his parents, Moscow Bryant and Pinkey Beavers Bryant; and his granddaughter Hayley Bryant. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lee Bryant; his children, Willard Bryant, Jr., Samuel Bryant, Paul Bryant and Sarah Bryant; and his siblings, L. C. Bryant (Nellie) and Sylvia Chafin. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
