It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minnie Lyon (Creedmoor, North Carolina), who passed away on April 15, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph A Lyon, Sr.; and her siblings, Elizabeth L Bullock, Ludie B. Green, Novella B. Chick, Major Benjamin Bullock, Joe Bullock, Willie Bullock, Walter Bullock, Roy Bullock, Henry Bullock, Hugh Bullock, James Bullock (Beezar) and James Hodges.
She is survived by: her children, Jacqueline Joyce, Bonita L Hodges of Durham, Joseph A Lyon Jr (Lonnia) of Creedmoor, NC, Sheron D Lyon of Butner, NC and Jeffrey H Lyon of Butner, NC; her siblings, Notre B Hunt of Oxford, NC, Bessie B Lyman, Joyce B Gibson-Richardson of Henderson, NC and Louis Chalmers (Valeria) of Durham, NC; her sister-in-law Norma Bullock of Forestville, MD; and her grandchildren, Tammy D. Fowler of Raleigh, NC, Gwynette H. Pierce (Wayne) of Durham, NC, Fredrick A. Lyon (Cassandra) of Durham, NC and Christina N. Hodges of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and a countless number of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted children, adopted grandchildren.
