It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine W. Lyon (Creedmoor, North Carolina), who passed away on December 25, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Ruby D. Mize, Thaxter Wheeler, Leland Wheeler and Wayne Wheeler. She is survived by: her spouse Alfred Warren Lyon; her sons, Richard Warren Lyon of Creedmoor and Mark Wheeler Lyon (Catherine) of Northside; her sisters, Janie Wheeler Diehl of Durham and Nancy Wheeler Rogers (Robert) of Butner; her granddaughter Coley Anne Lyon of Charlotte; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Claire Wheeler and Marjie Wheeler of Durham.
