It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Thompson Whitfield of Creedmoor, North Carolina, born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on October 13, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wilson Thompson and Alma Jones of Virginia; her children, Kim Whitfield and Wayne Whitfield Jr.; and her siblings, Jackie Gupton and Joey Thompson.

She is survived by: her husband Wayne Whitfield Sr.; her granddaughter Jordyn Whitfield of Creedmoor; her siblings, Janice Belangia of Stem and J. W. Thompson of Butner; and her daughter-in-law Paula Dixon Whitfield. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and friends.
