He was predeceased by: his father Willoughby Allen Hockaday Jr.; his brothers, Robert Lee Hockaday and Richard Dennis Hockaday; and his parents-in-law, Earl Bowman Moss and Margaret Clayton Moss.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Moss Hockaday; his daughters, Tracy Aiken (Brandon) of Creedmoor and Teri Brooks (Brent) of Creedmoor; his grandchildren, Kaylee Lynn Aiken, Madyson Paige Brooks and Ty Joseph Brooks; his sister Shirley Lane (Allan); and his sister-in-law Donna Taylor Hockaday. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.
