He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Baynes Stanfield of Stanfield's Stables and Margaret Chambers Stanfield; his stepmother Deloris M. Stanfield; his wife Polly H. Stanfield; his sisters, Wilba S. McCoy, Earnell S. Aiken and Frances S. Peed; and his son-in-law Gregory L. Chappell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda Stanfield and Brenda S. Chappell (Joe Watkins); his grandchildren, Caroline A. Chappell, Victoria M. Griffiths (Geoff) and Meredith L. Chappell; his nephews, Danny W. Emory and Steve S. Emory; and his caregivers, Sonya Owen and Sandra Royster.
