With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Smith of Cramerton, North Carolina, born in Hendersonville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 3, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Smith and Roy Brown Smith; his former wife Ira Lou Smith; and his sister Sarah Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his daughters, Dee Smith of Belmont, Debbie Darwin (Bill) of Charlotte and Deb Bray of Belmont; his granddaughters, Mary Smith (James) of Iron Station and Katy Fabbiano (Chris) of Mooresville; his great grandchildren, Abby Fabbiano and Trent Smith; his stepchildren, Camille Singleton (Darrin) of Huntersville and Warren Smathers (Maureen) of Shelby; and his sister Mary Knott (Lee Roy) of Naples. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to restrictions for Covid 19, the service and burial will be held in Oakdale Cemetery, US 64, Hendersonville, NC.
