He is survived by: his children, Chuck, Karen Edsel of Belmont, NC, Charles Edsel Newman (Janet) of Belmont, NC and Carmen Cameron of Abingdon, Virginia; his grandchildren, Brandy Davis (Steve) of Lincolnton, NC, Courtney Bates (Jonathan) of Cramerton, NC, Abigail Newman of Belmont, NC, Mark, Joey and JC Cameron of Abingdon, Virginia; his great grandchild Olivia Bates of Cramerton, NC; and his pet Petra. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
