With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Wilson (Cove City, North Carolina), who passed away on November 1, 2019 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Koonce and Hulda McCoy Koonce; and her husband Roland H. Wilson. She is survived by: her children, Dale Wilson of New Bern and Kathy Wilson Morton of Maysville; her brothers, Carson Koonce of Cove City, Gerald Koonce of Norfolk, VA and Melvin Koonce of Raleigh; and her grandchildren, Patrick Wilson, Jessica Phillips, Christy Wilson, Joe Monette and James Monette. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
