She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Dail and Pearlie Elmore Dail; her husband Earl Grover Mitchell; and her siblings, Ethel D. Smith, Virginia D. Freeman, Charlie Dail, Herbert Dail, Willie Dail, Harry Westbrook, Paul Westbrook, Claude Westbrook, Jasper Dail, Preston Dail, Pete Dail, Robert Dail and Grady Dail.

She is survived by: her son Charles Elbert Mitchell (Linda) of Cove City; her grandson Charlie Earl Mitchell (Ashley); her great grandchild Skylar Mitchell of Jacksonville; and her brother Billy Dail. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vidant Medical Center.
