He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge McLean and Retha West McLean; his brother Melvin Eugene McLean; and his nephews, Sidney Eugene Elkins Jr. and Jeffrey Melvin McLean.
He is survived by: his children, Will McLean of Roanoke, VA, Heather McLean of Memphis, TN, Shamiah of Indiana and Julie of Greenville, SC; and his sisters, Brenda Chalmers (David) of Wilmington, Wanda McDuffie (Rudy) of Council and Sharon McLean West. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
