She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Dion and Albert Dion. She is survived by: her husband Scott Higgins; her children, Abbey, Andy Burka, Amy and Beau Horack; her grandchildren, Emiline, Leo Burka and Ashton Horack; her brother Al Dion (Barbara); and her nieces and nephews, Katie Williams, Shana Hales and Jesse Dion.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Novant Health Hospice General Fund, as a tribute to the family's appreciation for their compassionate care in her final days.
