She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Black and Sallie Black; her husband Jimmy Shoemaker; her siblings, Frances Jaco, Joyce Boger, Bill Black and Leo Black; and her daughter Kaye Lefler.

She is survived by: her son Larry (Anne Shoemaker); her grandchildren, Bradley Shoemaker, Matthew Shoemaker, Michael Shoemaker and Tiffany Macri; and her great grandchild Brandon Macri.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Atrium Hospice Cabarrus County.
