It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Murvyn Washam of Cornelius, North Carolina, who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John V. Washam Sr. and Nannie Velna Washam; and his brothers, Billy Potts Washam and John V. Washam Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Gwen Sullivan (John) of Mooresville and Jeff Washam (Tonya) of Statesville; his siblings, Jackie Burris, Avonne Goodson and Brenda Rhodes; his grandchildren, Jason Penninger, Jordon Penninger and Samantha Allen; and his great grandchildren, Raegan, Makaela and Braeley.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church.
