She was predeceased by: her parents, David Lee Fortenberry and Nancy Maebelle Brannon Fortenberry; her siblings, David and Linda Lee; her children, Donna Garris Pitts and David; and her husband Ervin Garris.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Garris (Dean) and Nancy Foley; her son-in-law Joe Pitts; her grandchildren, April Riggs (Brad), Joshua Pitts (Shalana), Kimberly Doyle (Jason), Joe Arrowood and Chelsea Foley; and her siblings, Priscilla Sherrill, Joy Lineberger, Gail Lineberger and Charles Ray Fortenberry. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
