It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Addie Dorothy (McCannon) Smith of Cornelius, North Carolina, who passed away on June 8, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Daniel McCannon and Addie Eldridge Patton McCannon; her husband Cornelius Wallace Smith, Jr.; and her siblings, E. G. McCannon and Sue Tucker.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Smith Kies (Jeffrey F. Kies) and Scott Cornelius Smith (Naomi Smith); her grandchildren, Addie Fromholz (Jeremy Fromholz), Hillary Kies, Harrison Smith and Emily Smith; her great grandchild James Fromholz; and her sister Mae Smith of Athens, GA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
