She was predeceased by: her parents, Adzel Costilow and Bertha C. Reese; her stepfather Burton Reese; and her brother Edward Costilow. She is survived by: her husband Carlton E. Matthews; her daughters, Deirdre Jachimiak (Gary), Angie Baines, Yvonne Shaver and Felicia Rodriguez (Julio); and her stepchildren, James E. Matthews (Dale), Teresa Truitt (Bobby) and Debbie Jenkins. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
