He was predeceased by: his parents, Collie Hawk and Florine Hawk; his wife Agnes Hawk; his sons, Roosevelt Hawk and Jonathan Hawk; and his siblings, Lola Crawford, Sadie Ralph, Willie Mae Jenkins, Pauline Hawk, Carlether Jones, Ernest Lee Hawk, Isaac Junior Hawk, Sr. and Hurley Hawk.
He is survived by: his children, Author Hawk of Corapeake, NC, James Hawk (Libby) of Suffolk, VA, Edward Arline (Dorothy) of Suffolk, VA and Josephine Cofield; his granddaughter Wanda Cofield of Edenton, NC; and his sisters, Margaret Hawk of Corapeake, NC and Erma Lee Hawk Moore of Corapeake, NC. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.
