She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur L. Eure and Lucy Parker Eure; her sisters, Phyllis Lee Eure and Emily Eure Mathias; and her husband Linwood Frank Rountree of Corapeake.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dae R. Nixon (Bill) of Corapeake, Lynn R. Hand (Bill) of New Bern and Claire R. Whitehurst (Wayne) of Corapeake; her grandchildren, Caroline Mitchell (Ike) of Corapeake, Ben Whitehurst (Erin) of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Rebecca Greene (Travis) of College Station, TX, Leanna Tyler (Owen) of Corapeake and Will Hand (Sydney) of Raleigh; her stepgranddaughter Wendi Christopher of Chesapeake, Virginia; and her great grandchildren, Madison, Layla, Carter, Meredith, Blaire and Hannah. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
