He is survived by: his siblings, Jean Perry Farmer, Glenda Dawson, Diane Stallworth and Cynthia Moegenberg; his stepchildren, Michael Benton and Mary Lou Benton; and his nephew Jeffrey Perry (Denise). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
