He is survived by: his children, Dale Ijames (Kelly) of Landis, Randy Dean Ijames of Mocksville, Keith Ijames (Lisa) of Gold Hill and John Martin Ijames of Mocksville; and his sisters, Janet Trexler (Donald) of Cooleemee, Joann McDaniel of Murphy and Nellie Waller of Mocksville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
