He was predeceased by: his father Fred Lanier Blackwood, Jr.; and his brother Gary Michael Blackwood. He is survived by: his children, Joshua Blackwood of High Point, Monica Brinker of Lexington, Jason Blackwood of Lexington and Robert Blackwood of Marion; and his brothers, Ronald Blackwood (Caryn) of Dallas, TX, Alan Dale Blackwood (Susan) of John's Island, SC and John Ratledge of Woodleaf. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
