She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Patterson and Estella Patterson; her husband Cornelius Hargrove; her stepson Cornelius Hart; and her siblings, Andrew Patterson, John Patterson and Estella Victoria Pruitt.

She is survived by: her son McSherry Neal Hargrove (Merna) of Hope Mills; and her brother Charles Patterson (Sue) of Westberry, NY. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
