She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Carl Taylor and Rachel Ezell Davis Taylor; and her husband David Earl Coggins. She is survived by: her children, David Mark Coggins (Meggan), Jeffrey Taylor Coggins (Elizabeth) and Lori Nicole Coggins Jenkins (Andrew); and her sister Nancy Sue Taylor Smith.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Askew Funeral Service - Jackson Chapel (313 E Jefferson St, Jackson, NC 27845). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kay Coggins to Bryan Health and Rehabilitation, 921 Jr. High School Road, Scotland Neck, NC 27874.
