She was predeceased by: her parents, Luter Futrell and Rosa Parker Futrell; her husband Lloyd Askew; her grandson Jeremy Vinson; and her siblings, Josie Barnes, Reuben, Henry and Simon Futrell.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald Askew (Sarah) of Murfreesboro, Kathy Newsome (Steve) of Woodland and Amy Askew DeLoatch of Woodland; and her granddaughters, Lisa A. Martin (Ken), Karen A. Gould (Robbie), Sandy Warren (Lonnie), Becky Evans (Ed), Abby Parks (Nathan), Whitney Jernigan (Don) and Angela Matthews. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
