It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Drewery J. D. Simmons (Conway, North Carolina), who passed away on April 7, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Clyde Simmons and Lucy Sally Drewery Simmons; and his siblings, David Simmons, Francis Buckner and Marjie Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his sons, Joseph Bryce Simmons (Janice) of Conway and Anthony Drewery Simmons (Stacy) of Conway; his siblings, Martha Rudell (Rick) of Virginia Beach, VA and Willie G. Simmons of Conway; his grandchildren, Joseph Thomas "J. T." and Taylor Leggett (Shane) of Windsor; his great grandchild Reagan Leggett of Windsor; and his close friend Jean Futrell of Pendleton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
