He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Hamilton and Ada Davenport Hamilton; his siblings, Joseph "Joe" Hamilton, Jr., Thomas Hamilton, Edward Hamilton, Albin Hamilton and Julia Riddick; and his nephew Riddick.
He is survived by: his wife Frances; his daughter Julia Hamilton Salas (Rudy); his grandchildren, Rudy Salas III (Emma) and Marialena Salas; his great grandchildren, Elijah, Finn, Jasper and Isaac Salas; his sister-in-law Mittie Hamilton; and his nieces and nephews, Steve Hamilton (Pat), Al Hamilton, Claire Jo Miner (Joe), Alice Ann Cohoon (Mike), Angela Matthews (Matt), Debbie Copeland and Fran Hamilton. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, friends.
