He is survived by: his son Charles Byrd, Jr. (Robin) of Murfreesboro; his daughter-in-law Melinda Byrd of Bristol, VA; his grandchildren, Josh Byrd of Murfreesboro, Christopher Byrd of Murfreesboro, Hannah of Bristol, VA, Stella of Bristol, VA and Taylor Byrd of Bristol, VA; and his brother Joe Byrd of Gates, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
